This project has explored the importance of space to understanding citizenship and the how theories of citizenship can inform social, cultural and political geographies. These ideas have been drawn together in a keynote book published in Routledge’s ‘Key Ideas in Geography’ series as well as a series of book chapters in core reference books. Empirically, ideas of citizenship have been used to inform work on dementia, migration and military geographies.
