Join us – become a healthcare professional of the future

Our dietetics, occupational therapy, optometry, paramedic practitioner, physiotherapy, podiatry and social work students are based in the purpose built PAHC centre.
As well as having two fully equipped lecture theatres, seminar rooms and computing facilities, you'll have access to modern, purpose built specialist skills laboratories and excellent research facilities. The centre is in close proximity to Derriford hospital, Plymouth's main hospital.
Our on-campus eye care clinic will connect you with clients, practising optometrists and potential employers while providing eye care services to the University community and beyond.
The Centre represents a regional drive to bring optometry training to the South West through a state-of-the-art teaching facility for undergraduate and postgraduate optometrists, it is equipped with the latest instrumentation and staffed by fully qualified optometrists.
"A huge advantage of studying optometry at Plymouth was the chance to attend placements in different optometric settings, including Derriford Hospital. There were also opportunities available for gaining plenty of practical experience within the newly established eye clinic.”
