Become a Patron

We invite you to join our community of Patrons, a network of liked-minded individuals who care about cutting-edge arts and culture in the heart of Plymouth

The Arts Institute has evolved greatly since its inception, and most recently this was illustrated in our change in name from Peninsula Arts. However, the quality and enthusiasm for access to high quality arts and support for emerging artists remain at the core of what we do.

To retain this ambition we have introduced our new Patron scheme, which will replace our current Friends' scheme from September 2019.

We value your support

With fantastic benefits including priority booking, free tickets to all Arts Institute events and invitations to exclusive Patron events, our Patrons will play a vital role in supporting The Arts Institute Public programme, as well as our work with schools and the local community.

From world-renowned artist exhibitions in The Levinsky Gallery to performances from internationally acclaimed musicians through our Musica Viva Concert Series, it would be our privilege to count on your support as we plan our programmes for the coming years.

Our Patron membership costs £500 per year, and if you are able to gift aid your donation - at no cost you - your support can help us do even more.

The Patron fee is split as a 30% membership and 70% donation.

The 30% membership contributes to the running costs of the public arts programme.

You and a guest will be able to:

  • Request free Patron tickets to any Arts Institute event
Each season you can enjoy world-renowned artist exhibitions in The Levinsky Gallery; a diverse range of contemporary cinematic masterpieces in the Jill Craigie Cinema; a cutting-edge theatre and dance programme in The House; performances from internationally recognised musicians, and a year-long series of fascinating history talks.
