ORCiD

The University is asking all research-active staff and doctoral research students to create an ORCiD account, and for staff to additionally link it to Symplectic Elements.

ORCiD is an internationally recognised unique identifier connecting research with researchers, ensuring correct attribution.

Research Information Systems Support

The University of Plymouth has numerous systems that will help you through the different stages of your research journey and capture the information that is an essential part of your research. 

From Research Professional, an online database that provides a summary of significant recent research funding opportunities to Symplectic Elements which allows you to harvest publication data from other sources, input records and files manually and export data as required and then SciVal which allows you to visualize your research performance, benchmark relative to peer institutions, develop strategic partnerships, identify and analyze new, emerging research trends and VV-Impact Tracker, a cutting-edge, cloud-based software product helping researchers and impact officers to plan for and report social, economic and environmental impact.
