Continuing Professional Development (CPD) gives the opportunity to gain new knowledge, skills and behaviours and remain up to date in all areas of your practice.
More importantly, CPD will impact on the safety and quality of the patient and carer experience by ensuring our patients receive the best possible evidence-based treatment and care.
Designed with busy healthcare professionals in mind we aim to offer flexible and accessible CPD opportunities to support regional, national and international healthcare priorities across the South West Peninsula and beyond.
Improve your expertise
Our CPD opportunities include master classes with plenty of hands-on experience, workshops on commonly occurring difficulties and conferences featuring expert speakers. You can also choose to study the modules and components of our taught postgraduate programmes as short courses.
We deliver courses in various locations across the South West in formats to suit you, from face-to-face to distance learning, and even a blend of the two.
Professional accreditation
CPD points awarded by Royal Colleges as available and appropriate.
Programme content
We offer innovative approaches to the accrual of academic credit, offering a number of pathways to suit individual and professional requirements. The modules or components within our postgraduate programmes can be studied as short courses, either as credit or non-credit bearing depending on individual preference.
Special features
Our suite of CPD opportunities may take the form of short courses, master classes, conferences and events using ‘blended learning’ across traditional face-to-face and distance learning approaches.
Duration
Variable - dependent on the specific CPD being studied.
We offer a wide variety of taught postgraduate degrees within the Faculty of Health. Many of our programmes are run on a part-time, flexible basis, helping you balance your studies with your personal and professional commitments.
