Welcome to Residence Life - here at Plymouth University, we want to make your transition to University life as easy and enjoyable as possible. 

Moving away from home can be a daunting experience and our Residence Life Team are here to help you every step of the way. We want you to enjoy living and studying in Plymouth, build life-long friendships and feel fully supported during your time with us.

We offer a great variety of halls of residence to choose from, all of which offer a safe and friendly environment, are close to our main campus, near city centre amenities and situated in one of the South West's most vibrant coastal locations.

Booking your halls for 2016/17

Living in halls is an exciting, life-changing experience and we are looking forward to welcoming you to your new home. Our accommodation portal will be open at the end of February for halls of residence applications for 2016/17. Please note that applications are not first come first served.

*We understand how important it is to live and study with like-minded students in a secure and welcoming environment; therefore we guarantee University-managed accommodation to all undergraduate applicants who choose Plymouth University as their first choice institution and apply for accommodation before 1 July 2016.  Please note that the guarantee does not apply to students who still have a conditional status after 31st August 2016.

All of the student share properties on Plymouth StudentPad have been inspected by a member of the Residence Life team, to ensure that they are suitable for our students. This is the only way to find University approved properties.

What’s it like living in halls?

What's it like moving from halls to house?

Plymouth University offers an approved accommodation database called Studentpad. All I had to do was register with my uni email address and I was then able to search for houses depending on rooms, location and budget. Simple.

The Student Accommodation Code                   

We've signed up to the Student Accommodation Code which means that we've gone that extra mile to make sure that you get the best quality accommodation while you are with us. The Code is managed by an external group which inspects our halls to ensure that they are in tip-top condition.

The University's database of student private housing, where you can look for your new home for the next academic year is now open to current Plymouth University students.
