Prepaid catering packages are available from September 2026 for students at the University
Prepaid catering packages are available from September 2026 for students at the University.
The prepaid catered halls offer is for 35 weeks of the year and includes breakfast and dinner served Monday-Friday. Guaranteed two meals a day (breakfast and dinner) for the equivalent of £11.00 per day or £55.00 per week! Totalling £1,925 for the year, this is to be paid in full once your place at the University of Plymouth has been confirmed.
The closing date is midnight on Sunday 6 September 2026.
The package is available to all students living in University managed halls of residence, self-catering or private sector accommodation. 
Term dates
The dates that the prepaid catered halls offer is available are:

  • &Monday 14 September 2026 - Friday 18 December 2026

  • &Monday 4 January 2027 - Friday 28 May 2027

 
 

How it works

Breakfast

Breakfast served between 07:30–11:00, available in RLB Cafe and from 08:00 - 11:00 in  Drake's Kitchen or John Bull Cafe .
Breakfast will consist of:
  • up to five item cooked breakfast or
  • breakfast bap / wrap or
  • cold breakfast (cereal, fruit, pastries and yoghurt)
  • tea and coffee, water or fruit juice.

Dinner

Served between 16:30–18:30 in RLB Cafe  
Dinner will consist of:
  • two courses – a main meal and a dessert 
  • two options – a meat-based meal or a vegetarian meal which will also be gluten free
  • tea and coffee, water or fruit juice.

Dietary requirements
Please make the catering team aware of any dietary requirements or allergens prior to arrival. We will always attempt to accommodate any specific dietary requirements. A vegetarian, gluten free choice will always be available at each meal.
Am I eligible?
If you are a student at the University of Plymouth, whether pursuing an undergraduate, postgraduate, masters or PhD, you are eligible for the prepaid catering package.
You must present your University of Plymouth student card at each meal. The catering staff will not serve you if you do not have your ID card.
