University careers service

Alumni can take advantage of the advice offered by the University's Careers & Employability Service for up to three years after graduation. This support includes career workshops, one-to-one appointments and access to graduate job opportunities.

"The Accelerate programme gave me the confidence to network and investigate the people behind the job opportunity, rather than see a job at face value. I began to see how I could fit in anywhere with persistence, rather than seeing holes in my CV. Lessons on CV enhancement, networking and research before a job interview allowed me to remember that there is a learning curve involved when looking for graduate jobs."

Natasha Simmonds, ocean science graduate, 2015

"I really benefited from the careers and employability service throughout my second and final year, it was great to have someone to checking over my cv and cover letter, and pushing me to see what potential I had. Furthermore, I’ve been able to make use of this service post graduation, as it's available to graduates for up to three years after graduating, which helped in securing my job with Flybe."

Chloe Parker, events management graduate, 2016
