The 2026 UK Sensorimotor Conference in Plymouth aims to bring together the UK sensorimotor community in an open and informal environment to share research, exchange ideas, and foster new collaborations. 
The meeting will encompass a broad scientific scope, spanning basic and clinical studies across humans and animals, motor control and learning, neuromuscular and vestibular systems, development and ageing, as well as computational, neuroimaging, electrophysiological, and robotic approaches to sensorimotor function. 
Speaking slots will be distributed as broadly as possible among attending research groups. 
We also encourage you to forward the link to students and postdoctoral researchers in your group, as well as any other colleagues who may be interested. 
Registration is £80, which includes entrance to an evening reception at the University of Plymouth Marine Station on 8 July. 
We look forward to meeting you at the conference.

Conference Venue
The conference will take place on the ground floor of the Roland Levinsky Building, which is located on the main University of Plymouth campus and in close proximity to the city centre and Plymouth Train Station.

My research covers a range of periods in brain development as well as different motor systems: from the acquisition of speech in infants to the learning of novel arm movement in adults. In addition, I have designed and built a range of novel robotic interfaces which have facilitated research both in our laboratory and in groups in the UK and internationally. I have a background in electronic and electrical engineering, speech science and motor neuroscience, which allows me to adopt a multidisciplinary approach.
