Before undertaking the mentor quiz it is advisable you
update by watching the following:
Online mentor update – available above - please note Microsoft no longer supports Internet Explorer, so you will need to use either a newer version of Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
The Triennial Review is NMC requirement for all mentors to provide evidence they are up to date and active as mentors (NMC, 2008).
Over a three year period you, as a mentor, are required to reflect upon and demonstrate your progress in mentoring and assessing students, a minimum of two in three years and that you have undertaken an annual mentor update.
This will be formally reviewed – often at appraisal and recorded on your organisations mentor register identifying you as a live mentor.
The University will allocate students to a placement area based on the number of live mentors with an ‘in date’ Triennial review.
