University of Plymouth Law Clinic
The Employment Law Clinic offers legal advice to employees experiencing problems in the workplace.
Most often, this will include helping individuals facing disciplinary action, or those looking to raise a grievance with their employer. The Clinic is also able to provide practical advice on dismissals and redundancies and assist individuals with completing relevant forms.
Whilst the Clinic focuses on helping vulnerable, low paid employees who need help most, it also provides workshops to small businesses in the community looking to ensure they satisfy the employment requirements set out for them by law.
The Clinic benefits from the support of local practitioners and is supervised by an experienced employment law advisor.
Conducting a variety of tasks students are able to gain invaluable experience and develop a diverse range of skills such as drafting, presenting and advocacy.
