Combining expert knowledge of floating offshore wind (FLOW) with state-of-the-art testing facilities, the University is helping to solve industry issues around port movements, deployment, operations, maintenance and survivability of floating offshore wind platforms.
 
 
Our support includes:
  • access to our world-class facilities , researchers and technicians for businesses to develop new approaches in Floating Offshore Wind (FLOW)
  • numerical analysis, physical modelling and virtual simulation of FLOW devices, operations and enabling technologies
  • access to wider university capability including materials characterisation and remote and autonomous vehicles
  • opportunities for businesses in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly to engage with this project through events and workshops to find out how they can explore their ideas through research and development-led activities.
