Rachael Loveridge - graduate profile
"When selecting my university course I was still undecided as to a future career. I thought that I might like to teach and hence opted for the BSc (Hons) Mathematics with Education degree.

This gave me the freedom to change my mind with regards to a career at a later date. The staff in the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics were all very friendly and always on hand to help when needed.
My degree consisted of modules in mathematics, statistics and education. I really liked the way that you could choose from a range of modules to suit your needs and interests. I undertook a number of school placements during my three-year course, all of which helped me to decide that I did want a career in education.
After graduating from Plymouth and having a year out travelling, I returned to Bath University to complete a PGCE. I am now in my fourth year of teaching at Hardenhuish School in Chippenham and really love my chosen career.
I have very fond memories of Plymouth and its university and would recommend it to anyone as a great city in which to spend your university years!"
