Biography

Biography

I have worked in design / architectural practice for over twenty years with a diverse background that includes community engagement, neighbourhood planning, academic research, management, and teaching.   I'm a Director at Studio Skein, an architects co-op based in Plymouth, where I contribute to concept, planning, research and writing across a diverse range of projects. I have led the company's transformation to a co-operative structure, enrolling the staff team in a vision for the future based on fair shares and an equal say for all. I am particularly interested in asset based community development and the social / cultural tools that support it.

My PhD investigated the development of Plymouth’s post-war estates and I continue to champion Plymouth's 20th century heritage through Plymouth Architectural Trust and other community initiatives.
