The purpose of this project is to identify and map the spatial extent of areas best suited to specific types of seaweed and bi valve aquaculture in England and Wales.
The outputs of this project include:
- Aquaculture potential layers (normalised raster data)
- Environmental variable rasters
- Study area raster
- ArcGIS Pro map package of output rasters
- Potential habitat sensitivities to aquaculture - Raster layers showing the maximum likely sensitivity of habitats to different aquaculture types.
- Code - Code used to generate the output layers will be open-sourced allowing TCE to re-run analysis as required.
- Synthesis report – as data layers will be provided at scale this will be a synthesis report of the methods.
