Placements with the PGCE/Certificate in Education

As part of the programme you will spend a portion of each week during term time in a teaching placement in a further education and skills sector setting.

The further education and skills sector provides a wide range of different vocational and academic opportunities for adults and young people. It's an incredibly demanding but very rewarding career.

Your on-campus training will help you to prepare for the many rewarding challenges and learning experiences you may face. The organisations we select for your teaching placements will provide you with high-quality support and you may be fortunate enough to follow in the footsteps of many of our trainees and secure work within these same organisations.

Entry onto the programmes is conditional upon the University identifying a suitable placement and mentor for you.
