As a Dental student where will I be based?

Year 1

The teaching in Year 1 usually takes place at Portland Square, situated on the main campus, and at our clinical Dental Education facilities in Plymouth, Devonport and Derriford. As a dental student the full range of University facilities are available to you, including the Library, Students’ Union, and Student Medical Centre.

Year 2

Teaching in Year 2 will take place across Plymouth, on the main campus, and at our clinical Dental Education Facilities in Plymouth and Exeter. These specifically designed facilities will meet all your needs and are integrated with local NHS dental care provision, to allow you to gain experience of both routine and specialist dental care.

Year 3

In Year 3 the majority of your clinical time will be in Plymouth but you'll have the opportunity to work in our Exeter facility in a simulated general practice clinic. You'll be encouraged to enhance your independent clinical decision making and treatment skills, working with a qualified nurse in an authentic environment, and alongside dental students, as you would be in general practice.

Locations subject to change.
