Martin Edney, receiving his final year project prize

"My course gave me the foundations to apply myself technically. I feel I have become the most experienced member of my team, being the most technically capable. For my final year project I designed a 3D snooker game based on the concept of the Wii, designing hardware and software myself for which I won a prize. I also did a year’s work placement with Buhler Sortex Ltd. I would not now be working at Jaguar, or had such a good final year, without the experience I gained from this placement.

As a graduate engineer with Jaguar Cars I am based within the automotive cameras section. I have been involved in designing software to digitally correct camera video stream and delivered the camera system for the Range Rover Evoque. I love the exposure to such high profile vehicles, the satisfaction of seeing customers experiencing the vehicles and the challenge of integrating onto a complex architecture."
