Balinese Gamelan

BA (Hons) Filmmaking students taking part in a Balinese Gamelan orchestra as part of a range of exciting interactive sessions from leading artists and filmmakers. 

Balinese Gamelan includes 20 instruments, that originate from Indonesia and are made of bronze, wood and bamboo and are built and tuned to be played together as an orchestra. Research around playing gamelan has shown that it aids wellbeing and helps participants feel happier and more settled, whilst encouraging creativity and supporting self-reflection.
