The Arts Institute is delighted to launch our brand new Young Arts Pass. 

If you are aged 18 and under, you can enjoy FREE access to selected exhibition events, films, music, performances and talks. From cutting-edge performances to fascinating historical talks, we have got you covered this season.

Film: Joe Bullet

To celebrate Black History Month, don't miss this very special screening of one of the first films in the country to feature an all-black cast. 

After just two screenings, the film was banned by the government and not seen again for 40 years.

Talk and Film: 1745

Showing also as part of Black History Month, 1745 highlights a forgotten part of Scotland's history. 

Two young black slaves escape into the wilds and must use all of their courage to survive, unite, and stay free.

The Volcano Theatre Company have stripped back the action and character to zoom in on the dynamics of the killer couple.

Film: Arrival

Released in 2016, we are delighted to be showing Arrival as part of our Being Human Festival, on the big screen.  

Starring Amy Adams, a linguist who is recruited by the military to communicate with alien lifeforms after 12 mysterious spacecrafts land around the world.
