Join us in the Levinsky Room for a research seminar and discussion featuring two panels on Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
- Panel 1: Chaired by Associate Professor Shabnam Holliday, who explores geopolitical, economic, and legal challenges for businesses, including President Donald Trump's impact on Western support, EU accession, war ethics, and sanctions evasion.
- Panel 2: Chaired by Professor Krzysztof Kubacki, delves into business responsibility and human rights, using consumer survey data and interviews with Ukrainian businesses to assess due diligence, consumer perceptions, conflict sensitivity, and pathways for sustainable recovery.
Panellists will include University of Plymouth, Ukrainian and international scholars; an expert in international human rights law and business responsibility with experience working in Russia and litigating against the Russian Federation; practitioners in financial crime and asset tracing specialising in cross-border corruption and sanctions; and a senior communications and media strategist with frontline experience in Ukraine’s wartime storytelling and international outreach.
