How can academic research become compelling cinema?
Disclosure is an acclaimed Australian feature drama inspired by real events and grounded in empirical research, using the dramatic feature film form to explore complex questions around allegation, sexual abuse, truth, power and responsibility.
Described by critics as “disturbing in the best possible way” and “one of the most exciting debuts of the year”, the film holds a 100% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was nominated for an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Award for Best Indie Film. This rare UK screening offers an opportunity to experience the film on the big screen, followed by a Q&A with director Michael Bentham and cinematographer Mark Carey exploring its creative process and the potential of filmmaking as a means of disseminating research beyond academia.
