Join us for year-round exhibitions at The Levinsky Gallery, as part of our arts and culture programme at the University of Plymouth. Featuring world-renowned artists alongside emerging talents, our exhibitions offer thought-provoking experiences that captivate and inspire.
We have proudly hosted prestigious exhibitions such as British Art Show 9 and the Plymouth Contemporary, one of the largest open exhibitions in the South West. Previous showcases include exhibitions by internationally acclaimed artist Kehinde Wiley; Turner prize-winning artist Douglas Gordon, and group shows featuring award-winning artists like Vija Celmins, Lubaina Himid, and Veronica Ryan.
Committed to supporting artist development and fostering creativity, The Levinsky Gallery offers regular commissions across all art forms, ensuring the nurturing of new talent and the creation of innovative works.

The Levinsky Gallery
Located within the iconic Roland Levinsky Building, The Levinsky Gallery welcomes everyone, and offers a space for exploration, discovery, and inspiration. Open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 16:00, and Saturdays from 12:00 to 16:00, the gallery invites visitors to explore a wide range of exhibitions and events. A hub for cultural engagement, the gallery hosts a diverse range of events, including gallery tours, artist talks, and family-friendly activities, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
