Undergraduate open days

Before you register for this event, please take the time to read how sessions will run.

This is an on-campus open day with some virtual elements.

Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email which will contain a full schedule of events, including Zoom links to the virtual elements of this open day.

On campus:

Please register your attendance upon arriving at The University of Plymouth, in the Roland Levinsky Building. We will have a team to welcome you and answer any questions you may have about the day.

There will be welcome talks, subject talks, drop-in sessions, student life talks and campus tours.

You will receive a link to our online programme before the day and we will also have QR codes at the registration desk which will take you to the online programme.

If you would like a physical copy of our open day programme, or wish to contact us about our events, please email studentrecruitment@plymouth.ac.uk.

We will have some pre-recorded talks which you will be able to watch and also some central Q&A’s delivered through Zoom. If you do not have a Zoom account please set one up for free by visiting the Zoom website.

You will need to be logged into your own Zoom account to be able to join the sessions.

Follow the URL that will be provided on your confirmation email to get to the Zoom meeting.

If you are early to the meeting, Zoom will update and refresh your page when the meeting host has started the meeting.

Your camera and microphone will be automatically turned off and muted when you enter the session and will remain so throughout.

Your Zoom username will be displayed on screen and will be visible to other participants in the meeting.

If you would like to ask a question in the session please ask them via the chat function, but please remember your question will be visible to the other participants.

The member of staff hosting the Q&A will be able to see your questions and answer them during the session.

If you would like to leave the meeting at any point, please press the ‘Leave meeting’ button found in the bottom right hand of the screen.

Once the Q&A has finished the host will do this for you which will automatically end the meeting.

If you want to move to a Q&A session for another course, please leave the room and go back to the main meeting room where you can let the host know which room you would like to be moved into.

We will continue to follow Government guidance but we hope to be able to welcome you to an “in-person” open day in the Autumn. We will continue to update our webpages and keep in touch with you via email if the situation changes.

As well as following the latest UK government guidance, we are carefully monitoring the evolving situation to ensure that we can safely welcome you to campus. Please wear a face covering indoors within communal locations and outside in crowded areas, to protect yourselves and others.

All our on-campus and virtual open days are designed to give you a taste of Plymouth, connect you with passionate staff, and help you feel confident with your choice of course.
