Still have questions?
If you have any enquiries about our undergraduate open days please contact us:
Visiting an open day is the best way to get a feel for the campus and location and to see yourself studying at the University of Plymouth.
Our open days are designed to provide you with the best opportunity to see our facilities and student accommodation first hand and to help you to feel confident with your choice of course.
While you’ll have the chance to attend as many subject talks as possible, we recommend that you continue to browse through and research our wide variety of course options so that you feel more confident about the area of study that you are thinking of committing to.
“I think an open day is really important to come to because you get a better view of the University – you’re going to be spending an awful lot of time here. You want to know that you can get around the city, that it suits your personality, and that there are options here for you to enjoy your three, four or more years.”
Student Ambassador Georgia shares her thoughts and advice for attending open days
It’s great if you have a clear idea about the course that you’re thinking about applying for before you attend open days at various institutions...
...but it’s absolutely fine to not be 100% sure at this stage.
It’s a good idea to come to an open day equipped with any questions or queries you may have – our staff and students are best placed to provide the answers you’re looking for.
After you book your place, we will email you a programme for the day one week before your open day – this will help you to plan which subject talks you’d like to attend.
We understand how important it is to bring along family and friends to get their thoughts and advice, that’s why we allow you to bring as many guests as you want to your open day.
Take advantage of more opportunities to visit the campus and explore the city by booking onto one of our fortnightly campus tours.
You get to see the facilities that the university has to offer, to visit the laboratories and see all the instrumentation you’ll be using throughout your degree. You also get to meet the lecturers that will be delivering content to you for the next three years. You don’t get a real feel for the university without going to an open day and experiencing it for yourself.
BSc (Hons) Chemistry student Lauren shares her thoughts on the benefits of attending an open day.
We are pleased to be able to offer a travel bursary of up to £30 to guests attending our open days to help support the cost of travelling to our campus (local postcode exclusions apply).
Eligible guests will be contacted by email prior to the open day to advise them of how to collect their bursary.
From registration and parking information to exclusive train and hotel offers, find all the information you’ll need to make the most our of your visit once you’ve booked onto an open day.
