Biography
Biography
I am a marine biologist with a keen interest in the development and management of sustainable marine protection areas, that are supported by an ecosystem-based approach. I have extensive marine monitoring experience, having worked on several projects around the world researching human-impacts on marine habitats. I have previously worked in the field to assess MPA efficacy along the Portuguese coastline as an IAESTE researcher, as well as extended field seasons in Northern Cyprus, Malaysia and the Galapagos Islands.

MSci Marine Biology from Queens University Belfast - First Class Honours
Undergraduate Thesis - Parametrising sea turtle mating behaviours using tri-axial accelerometry. (2015-19)
Masters Thesis - Marine traffic of the Galápagos Islands and implications for green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas). (2019-20)
Selected as UK National candidate and amongst a pool of international applicants for an IAESTE Research Internship with MARE ULisboa (2020)
