Biography

Biography

I have been working for the University for over 20 years. I started working front line in the Careers Service as a Careers Assistant before moving to the Employer Engagement Team in 2007, where my role was to secure employer engagement for on campus activities such as Careers Fairs, Speaker Panels and subject specific presentations.

My current role within the Careers Service is as a Employer Engagement Officer (Placements and Liaison) working with students from the Faculty of Health: Medicine, Dentistry and Human Sciences and Science & Engineering. My role is predominantly with students in their 1st and 2nd year of study encouraging them to explore the option of undertaking a placement year and continuing that supportive role during the placement year. Employer engagement is key to the success of our placement year and working closely with local and national employers provides me with the opportunity to network, securing new and exciting placements for our students.
