Professor David Bristow
Peninsula Medical School (Faculty of Health)
As Head of Peninsula School of Medicine, I provide strategic leadership to the undergraduate and postgraduate medical programmes to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of educational provision. Throughout my career in higher education I have been interested in the processes of teaching and learning, and am especially motivated to develop evidence-based curricula that produce excellent doctors and scientists. I am committed to support students and staff to achieve their full potential. My research is investigating the reliability and validity of medical student selection , faculty and staffing structure and professional identity , the best ways of teaching safe and effective prescribing, and the effectiveness of integrated medical sciences curricula.
