An introductory programme of workshops

Welcome to our FREE introductory programme on Work and Study in the UK and beyond.

Designed specifically for you, these workshops are open to international students from any country, on any course, at any level of study. The programme is made up of a series of workshops (some in-person and some online), plus a video. We offer live workshops in semester two and you can access recordings of certain videos at any time.

You can access one, all or as many of the workshops as you like, in any order. The sessions introduce the following topics:

Workshops

Writing English CVs for international students
Learn how to write a CV for the UK marketplace with hints, tips and an opportunity to practice writing a personal profile.
Communication in the Global Workplace
Learn about how to navigate the increasingly global and changing world and workplace.
Working in the UK – successful job applications
Introduces key considerations to be aware of if you want to work in the UK, such as what employers want and recruitment processes.
Working in the UK during your studies with a visa – for international students
Learn about the practicalities of working in the UK during your studies.
Working in the UK after your studies with a visa – for international students
Learn about the practicalities of staying to work in the UK after your studies.
Considering Postgraduate (Masters-level) Study
Learn about key considerations you should think about when deciding whether to complete a masters.
Writing an effective Masters application
This session will help you understand what’s needed to write a successful masters application.
