Blocking mitochondrial fission has potential as an effective treatment for Parkinson’s Disease
Plymouth University news: When a particular protein in mitochondrial fission is blocked it reduces both cell death and deficits in dopamine release in Parkinson’s Disease. The way is now open to use this as a treatment to reverse or cure the condition.
