International scholarships

To recognise outstanding achievement, the University of Plymouth offers scholarship schemes to help fund your studies. You could receive up to 50% off your tuition fees in your first year.

 

Entry requirements

Undergraduate

We require a University Entrance Certificate with National Certificates in Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3. Applicants must have a total of more than 80 credits with a majority of merit/excellent in subjects to be studied at Higher Education institutions.

Postgraduate

We require a four year bachelor (honours) degree with the appropriate classification.

New Zealand degree classification

Second Class (Upper Division) B+ / A- 2:1
Second Class (Lower Division) C+ 2:2

English language requirements

To be accepted onto a degree course with us you must have a suitable English language qualification. The tables below show the minimum English language requirements for standard courses at RQF 6 (degree level) and above.
Some courses have English language requirements that are higher than those shown below, please check the relevant course for details.

Studying at the University of Plymouth has allowed me to show employers that I have the confidence to put myself in a foreign environment, outside of my comfort zone. I have expanded my network beyond my home country and have loved every second of it.

Arriving in Plymouth was not as stressful as I thought it might be. I loved the look of the city and it seemed very homely. The University’s ranking and reviews were good and being by the sea was captivating.

My best advice is to mingle with people and get to know as many interesting humans as possible. University is a unique experience where you are surrounded by diverse opinions and people of interesting backgrounds. I recommend fully immersing yourself in that experience.
