Bethany Calloway, BSc (Hons) Nursing
Through evidence-informed theoretical study and a variety of clinical practice opportunities, our alumni have gained the skills, knowledge and experiences needed to succeed in the nursing profession.

A world of opportunity awaits

A nursing degree provides you with a number of career pathways. Catherine found herself within a surgical ward area in a specialty she never experienced as a student – gynaecology and women’s services – and is looking forward to a varied exciting career.
"Going forward, I would like to gain more experience in a range of locations across medicine and surgery, as well as critical care, with the aim to return to the University as a lecturer."
Catherine Jones, Adult nursing graduate

When you realise you’ve made a difference to someone’s day, even with a small conversation or just a smile, it makes all the hard work worth it.

Nursing is my second degree as my first was in History and Education. I’d hope in a few years time I can combine the two areas and develop towards working in Nursing Education.
