Offer holder days

These are subject-specific events that give University of Plymouth offer holders a chance to take the next step towards starting their course in September.

We very much hope that the situation in the UK improves so we can go ahead as planned with our offer holder days in the New Year. However, we are carefully monitoring the situation as it continues to evolve and adhering to the latest UK government guidance on coronavirus. If we cannot invite you onto campus, we will be holding virtual offer holder days to ensure you get all of the information you need to find out more about your course and the University. Once booking opens for our offer holder days, all applicants will be contacted and this web page will be updated.

What is an offer holder day?

Offer holder days are invite-only events for students who have made an application to the University of Plymouth and are holding an offer with us, either conditional or unconditional. The experience is subject specific and tailored to give you the chance to explore your chosen course and the University in much more detail.

I’ve already been to an open day – why should I attend an offer holder day?

Given that you are much further on with your university application, it’s likely that you’ll have questions that will differ from the ones you had before making your application and initial choices.

Offer holder days are invite-only events that give you the opportunity to attend course-specific activities and spend more time with future classmates, course leads and academics who will be teaching you.

The day will give you the perfect opportunity to decide whether the course, university and city are the best fit for you as an individual.

You'll experience in-depth course lectures, sessions and activities that were not available in such detail at our open days. All of the University support services are present at our offer holder days as well as tours of the University halls, so you'll have a great opportunity to think about where you could be living.

What happens after I book on to an offer holder day?

Once you have booked your place, we will keep in regular contact with you via email to keep you updated on how the event will run and provide you with your programme for the day, whether this is a virtual or physical event.

Decide on accommodation

The offer holder day will also give you the opportunity to check out University-managed halls and student accommodation options in more detail and feel confident about where you want to want to live.

Benefit from exclusive travel and accommodation offers

If we are able to host our offer holder days on campus then we are pleased to be able to offer a travel bursary of up to £30 to guests attending our offer holder days to help support the cost of travelling to our campus (local postcode exclusions apply).

Eligible guests will be contacted by email prior to the offer holder day to advise them of how to collect their bursary.

From registration and parking information to exclusive train and hotel offers, find all the information you’ll need to make the most our of your visit once you’ve booked onto your offer holder day.
