The Writing Cafe

Please note: The Writing Cafe is closed as of 17 March 2020

From 23 March we will be moving to a Digital Writing Cafe and will share more information with you about this soon.

_____________

As well as serving great coffee and locally sourced food, the Writing Café is a welcoming space where you can explore techniques and strategies to improve your writing.

Building on our innovative work in developing skills for writing, the Writing Café is a unique and creative space where staff and students are welcome to come and have a conversation with a member of the Learning Development team, work with one of our trained student writing mentors, or take part in one of our many events and activities centred on writing.

Drop in and see us on the 4th floor of Babbage.

The Writing Cafe opens for the spring semester on Monday 27 January 2020

The Writing Café is open from 13:00–16:00 each weekday during term time.

The English Language Centre at the Writing Cafe

On Friday's 10:00–noon a member of the English Language Centre and our trained writing mentors are there specifically to support students who have English as a second language.
