Ms Ruth Bourne

Ruth has been working in IT Management roles for the last 15+ years. Prior to joining the University in 2015, Ruth worked across different departments in the UK civil service, initially within central government working with schools and policy makers to deliver successful organisational changes within the Education sector, then moving into IT delivery roles including both hardware and software implementations. At the University, Ruth has taken oversight for major IT projects including the network implementation, PC fleet refresh, migration of University applications to Cloud hosting, and she is currently heavily involved in a new programme of work relating to the University’s Student Record System.

As Head of IT Product Development and Delivery, Ruth’s team is responsible for maintaining the wide range of software applications and platforms that support the running of the University, and for delivering enhancements to these platforms and applications as required to meet evolving needs across the organisation.
