Qualifications
Qualified as Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in 1996. (Completed exams in 1991).
HND (Business & Finance) 1986 from Gwent College of HE (now UWCN)
Five years with the Ministry of Defence in Bath working in the Financial Management Development Unit and then the Director General Supply and Transport (Naval) branch.
Joined the University of Glamorgan in 1992 and worked as a Management Accountant in the Finance Department. In November 2005 I joined the University of Plymouth as the PFT Manager.
In 2011, after a short secondment to the Management Accounts Team, I began working permanently for the team in June of that year.
As part of Plymouth 2015, my post was made redundant but I secured an Assistant Management Accountant role within the Business Support team, currently situated at The New Cooperage in the Royal William Yard. In 2014 successfully applied for a post as a Management Accountant within the Business Support Team.
Have worked very closely with the Faculty of Science & Engineering for over three years and also have extensive experience of working with colleagues in Research & Innovation.
