Dr Paigan Aspinall

As Senior Clinical Trial Data Manager and a member of PenCTU's senior management team, I am responsible for leading the data management team and managing the IT infrastructure used by the team. My team ensures that PenCTU's portfolio of clinical trials and observational studies are developed and validated according to appropriate regulatory standards and that the clinical data captured is secure and of high quality. I lead data management on the studies OBtAIN-PD, RESOLVE, STEPS II, RETREAT and ERASE.

I have a particular interest in data validation and introducing automated processes around this, such as bespoke R functions that can perform validation and monitoring functions. I am also interested in variations in data capture methods for patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and am currently conducting metadata research in this area.
