About Pablo

I’m a biologist focused on applying genetic and environmental DNA (eDNA) tools to support the conservation of endangered amphibians, particularly salamanders. My research involves population genetics, molecular ecology, and non-invasive sampling techniques to understand genetic diversity, connectivity, and threats to biodiversity.

In addition to my academic and research work, I contribute as a weekend husbandry technician, providing specialized care for invertebrates and lower vertebrates in ex situ conservation and research settings. This hands-on experience strengthens my understanding of animal behavior, welfare, and management — all essential for effective conservation
