Nicola joined the university in 2015 after 13 years working as a registered children's nurse in the NHS and charitable sector. Nicola has experience in children's intensive care, critical care and palliative care as well as pre-hospital care working with a charitable organisation providing clinical support at large public events.
Nicola has been involved in teaching for several years prior to joining the university and has enjoyed supporting students throughout most of her nursing career.
Nicola has particular interest in the use of simulation in healthcare with a specific interest in paediatric palliative and end of life care education.
