Nicola Brennan has a social science background and has worked as a medical education researcher in the Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry for over 10 years.  She is currently a Senior Research Fellow in Literature reviews in the Collaboration for the Advancement of Medical Education Research Assessment (CAMERA)  at the Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry.

Research interests

Nicola Brennan is a medical education researcher. Her research investigates:

1. Remediation of doctors
2. Appraisal of doctors
3. Doctors preparedness for practise.

Her research involves a range of methodologies including realist and systematic literature reviews, qualitative and mixed methodologies.
