I have a back ground in child health and a practising GP at Catherine House Surgery in Totnes, where we have a key role in undergraduate medical education as well as physician associate students
I am a Principal Fellow of HEA and a Director and Fellow of The Academy of Medical Educators
I have been involved in teaching activities at The University since 1998 including the setting up and design of postgraduate programmes in medical and clinical education and was Director of Postgraduate Education at the original joint 'Peninsula Medical School' with The Universities of Exeter and Plymouth.
I was awarded The President's medal of The Academy of Medical Educators in 2014 for services to medical education
