About Minhee

Minhee is a Lecturer in Tourism and Events Management at Plymouth Business School. Her research focuses on sustainable tourism development, with particular interests in stakeholder collaboration, community resilience, and tourism policy. Her work explores how stakeholder relationships, including social capital and trust, shape collaboration and contribute to more sustainable and resilient tourism development.

She holds a PhD in Tourism and Hospitality Research from the University of Surrey, where her doctoral research examined stakeholder collaboration in sustainable tourism development, with a particular focus on the role of social capital and trust. She also holds an MSc in International Events Management from the University of Surrey, where her research explored risk communication and risk management in the event industry, and BAs in Psychology and English Language and Literature from Chungbuk National University in South Korea.
