About Mahmoud


I received my Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Lund University (Sweden) in 2009, under the guidance of Bo Mattiasson. Following that, I relocated to Canada to pursue postdoctoral studies with Heinz-Bernhard Kraatz at Western University. In 2011, I continued my postdoctoral research with Maxim Berezovski at the University of Ottawa. In 2014, I joined the research group of Shana Kelley at the University of Toronto, initially as a Research Associate then as a Senior Research Associate. In 2021, I made a move to the United States to join Northwestern University as a Research Assistant Professor. Then, in 2023, I settled in the United Kingdom, joining the University of Plymouth as a Lecturer in the Peninsula Medical School. Throughout my career, my research has been focused on the development of cancer diagnostics and therapeutics.
