Dr Louise Venables is a Research Assistant at the University of Plymouth working on projects to enhance inclusivity in anatomy education. Her background spans psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and science communication, with research experience across health, sustainability, and education. She has led mixed-methods and co-produced studies, often in partnership with communities, and brings a systems-thinking perspective to education and research.
Her work is grounded in ethical, participatory, and equitable practice, with a particular interest in representation within anatomy resources, the accessibility of anatomical language, and widening access to medical education. 
Outside of academia, she is active in local government as a town councillor and supports a range of community initiatives. She is also a committed sustainability advocate.
