Biography

Biography

I am an early-career researcher in neuro-oncology with a focus on NF2-deficient tumours of the nervous system.

Since completing my undergraduate and master's degree in biochemistry at the University of Birmingham, I came to the lab of Prof David Parkinson at the University of Plymouth for my PhD.

I am now developing as an independent researcher within NF2-related tumour biology whilst developing broader interests such as teaching.

Qualifications

MSc Biochemistry - University of Birmingham, 2016.

PhD Neuro-oncology - University of Plymouth, 2021.

Research interests

I am interested in the role of dysregulated Hippo signalling in NF2-null tumours of the nervous system.

We use both primary human meningioma and schwannoma cell cultures as well as relevant mouse models to test drugs which target aberrant tumour cell activity.

Grants & contracts

Children's Tumor Foundation Young Investigator Award - 2020-2022
