Dr Kevin Stone is an Associate Professor at Plymouth University, and a sitting Magistrate within the South West.

Dr Stone is an active researcher in the field of mental health law and health and social care practice and as an author has published widely. He has been a social work academic for the past 10 years teaching health and social care law, social work skills and social sciences. 

Dr Stone is a student centered and a practice-facing academic holding a Senior Fellowship with the HEA. He is able to relate and apply the law to real life scenarios as he draws on his experience of nearly 30 years of experience working in the voluntary, statutory and NHS sectors.
