Jessica holds a degree from the University of Leicester, including a year studying abroad at the University of Miami, and graduated with a first-class dissertation on the portrayal of women's roles in 1950s and 2000s advertising. Her career began as Head of Merchandising at Pedigree Books Ltd, before transitioning to education in 2011 to train as a Primary School Teacher. Over seven years in teaching, she served as English Subject Leader, Team Leader, and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, as well as being a city advocate and mentor for the Oracy Project, Talk4Writing and teaching maths mastery. In 2020, she joined the University of Plymouth as a Programme Administrator and she now works as Senior Programme Coordinator for BMBS, PA, and DR programmes at the Peninsula Medical School.
In her current role of Senior Programme Coordinator, she has developed her strengths in team leadership, data analysis, and effective communication. She has a proven ability to lead and motivate teams and analyse complex data to inform strategic decision-making and drive meaningful outcomes.
