Programme Lead for BSc in Occupational Therapy
My role at the University of Plymouth involves teaching on a number of modules on the undergraduate and postgraduate Occupational Therapy programmes. I also deliver lectures for other programmes within the School of Health Professions such as the Postgraduate Certificate First Contact Practitioner in Primary Care. I am the Placement Lead for Occupational Therapy, which involves the coordination of placements across all cohorts on the pre-registration Occupational Therapy programmes. I also sit on the Service User and Carer group for the School of Health Professions.
My clinical experience has predominantly been in a variety of Adult Social Care settings across the South West; I also continue to work in private practice. I work with adults with long-term conditions and physical disabilities and my role is to enable people to be as independent as possible within their own homes using equipment and adaptations.
