Biography

Biography

I am working as a Lecturer in International Business at the University of Plymouth, U.K. Before joining Plymouth, I was working as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Turku, Finland.

Qualifications

DSc Economics and Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Turku, Finland.

MSc Business Administration from the Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden.

MBA Marketing from the Islamia University, Pakistan.

Research interests

My research interests include CSR, sustainability, and governance-related issues in marketing and international business. The global crisis (e.g., the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, etc.) has also received my research attention and I am actively investigating its impacts on business.


Other research

I am also involved in research consultancy projects. Some of the key projects include Transparency International Corruption Perception Index, United Nation Development Program (UNDP), African Development Bank, and Shell CSR Campaign development project.

Grants & contracts

I have secured research funding of around 280,000 euros from several external sources, such as the Foundation for Economic Education, Paulo Foundation, Finnish Post Doc. Pool, Kone Foundation, Marcus Wallenberg Foundation, Hansbang Foundation, and Turku University Foundation.
