Biography

Biography

Gavin is an Advanced Practitioner with experience of working in primary care and urgent care. 

He currently lectures on the Advanced Professional Practice (Clinical Practitioner) and Advanced Clinical Practitioner apprenticeship programme's within the Faculty of Health under the School of Nursing and Midwifery. He supports the wider AP team with the delivery of the clinical assessment skills module APP710. Gavin has a passion to drive inter professional learning within nursing, para-medicine and other allied health professions to equip learners, who are experienced clinicians within their own right, with advanced consultation skills, decision making and diagnostic skills to help the progression of non-medical advanced practice. 

Gavin is still actively working in the NHS as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within Urgent Care and Out Of Hours Services.
